The Sylvia Platters are a Canadian indie rock outfit that caught our attention last month with their song, “Kool Aid Blue.”
They have since returned with “Severance”, a song they describe as “a nostalgic tune about taking stock, letting go, and moving on.”
It comes out of the gate with a charming blend if 90’s-leaning jangle pop, with a warm vocal performance and jangly guitars that just radiate with comforting nostalgia and heartfelt melancholy, with a slight lean into alt-country.
