tripliciti is a fingerstyle guitar group who have won our hearts with their single, “For My Father”, just a month after catching our attention with “In Lak Ech.”

It’s a warm and inviting instrumental piece that feels like it could have been a score for a lovely independent drama or TV show. It’s performed by the trio’s Andy McKee as a tribute to his father. As he expands below:

“I suppose this is one of my more well-known solo guitar pieces. I wrote it and dedicated it to my dad who gave me my first guitar when I was 13 years old. He passed away in 2005 from cancer but I was able to perform this piece for him before he died. The version on this album with Calum (Graham) and Trevor (Gordon Hall) really, really makes me emotional every time we play it.”
