Lounna is the moniker of singer-songwriter Brenna Slate who has returned with new single, “Peak Season” a song from their upcoming sophomore album.
It’s a perfect song for this part of the winter, as it was written during Slate’s first bout of seasonal affective disorder in the winter of 2029. It’s a blend of heartfelt alt-country and folk with some tender and soul-piercing vocals and lyrical storytelling.
Detailing the song, Slate adds:
I wrote this song during my first bout of Seasonal Affective Disorder in winter 2019. It’s partially a reminder to myself that “spring will come soon”, and I wanted to share that little glimmer of hope with the rest of the world during this winter, when the whole world seems to be held together by a thread.
