Crewless are an indie dance outfit from Salt Lake City who have recently shared that unforgettably titled single, “Don’t Ask the German to Relax”, taken from their upcoming debut album, Table for One.
Upon hitting play, the way the band juggles elements of dance rock and a playful sense of humor, reminded me a bit of B52’s mixed with the scope of Metric. It’s no accident that the sense of humor found in some of B52’s songs was an inspiration for the band.
Speaking on the song, the band’s Maestre G details:
I’ve always loved the sense of humor in songs like Private Idaho by the B52’s and we love to incorporate our sense of humor in our music. We’re funny people and that comes through as we write”.
