Opris is a Los Angeles-based indie-folk musician who has won our hearts handily with their new single “Softer (lofi)”
It’s an intimate and personal insight into their own “will they won’t they” experience. There is a barebones and minimal slice of folk that feels as if they’re in the room singing right next to you as your pour through your own heartbreak. It rings true, cuts deep, and will break your heart.
Speaking on the sing, they add:
The song is inspired by a “will they won’t they” experience. When we finally open up and spill our feelings sometimes they aren’t requited but sometimes that also just takes some time. The lofi nature of the song is a reference to the vulnerable feeling when you finally remove your masks and allow the other to see you fully.
