UK-based psych-punk-power duo The Lovely Eggs are preparing for the release of their new album, Eggsistentialism, which will be released on May 17th.
The band taps into a blend of 90s power pop and a California garage rock glamminess, with some great classic instrumentation and smart pop hooks that are biting and authentic. It has all the hallmarks of the best of the genre, and then some.
Speaking on the single, they add:
“‘My Mood Wave’ is kind of an internal thought monologue. It’s a brain on a surfboard, trying to navigate the barrage of daily shit that gets washed up each day. It’s a coping mechanism handbook for people who sometimes find the world too much.”
