Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Thea Sass-Ainsworth has returned with her new single “Was I Wrong”, a song that packs a distinct emotive blend of 90s rock and pop with a strong emotive weight and sincerity.
The guitar work blends perfectly with the airy exasperated vocals that pack a significant punch that is vivid and utterly sincere and feels familiar yet quite comforting at the same time.
Speaking on the track, Sass-Ainsworth details:
When you leave, what do you do with what remains? This song is explicit in its images—broken glass, feathers, blood. The fading light and unending nights that flicker and replay, like the spots of color that dance on the inside of eyes clenched shut. This song asks the question, searchingly, desperately, “Was I Wrong?” and that question echoes out into the everlasting night and the flame-like, fleeting days.
