Simitree is the electronic project fronted by Charlie Kessenich, who has recently returned with the release of his new single, “CUDITB.”
The track is an ever-expansive blend of electronic synth-scapes and indie rock production that soars into the cosmos with an atmospheric flurry of creation.
A blend of Caribou, Tycho, and Bonobo, all combine into something that feels grand yet also intimate in a personal level.
Speaking on the track, Kessenich adds:
Should we be focusing on those nearest to us or finding ways to affect the wider world? “The branching world of reasons” and “the maze of (my) desire” confuse and distort our ability to be guided by our conscience. At the end of the day I believe we should focus on loving ourselves and those closest to us to make the most meaningful impact on the world. “It shouldn’t be anyone at all. It should be you.”
