Columbus, Ohio folk-rock act Hello Emerson will return with their new album, To Keep Him Here, which will be released on March 29th via Anyway Records.
It’s a concept album about a serious accident suffered by frontman Sam Emerson Bodary’s father, heightened by audio excerpts of Bodary’s father describing the accident and its aftermath from an interview conducted for NPR’s StoryCorps woven throughout the tracklist.
“Tupperware for Glass” is a lead single taken from the record (shared with fellow album cut “It was twelve-ten’), detailing the accident in a raw and honest blend of baroque folk, with some powerful storytelling that delivers a swift and meaningful emotional blow.
