The Early Swerve are an English outfit who have released their debut single in “We Take Our Time.” It’s a song that comes with a description as a song that “knows the drinking don’t stop the thinking and admits that the betting only yields brief forgetting.”
There’s a blend of groovy bar-rock yet also folk-inspired sound that blends some of The Coral’s wide-spanning sound with a bit of the vocal delivery and sly punch of The Libertines. It feels like the sort of rock and roll that we would discover on NME back when it meant something.
