Dr. Rocket is the Seattle, Washington-based solo project by Nick Carver, who has returned with his new single “Haven’t I Seen Your Face Before?”, taken from his upcoming EP, Buoy (pt2).
“Haven’t I Seen Your Face Before?” is a blend of power pop and indie rock, with some big guitar work that chugs along right alongside some huge vibrant vocals and hooks that feel like a blend of MGMT, Of Montreal, with elements of Beach Boys and The Lemon Twigs as well. It’s a modern spin of all the classics that our parents grew up on.
