English jangle-pop five-piece band The Shop Window – who are no strangers to this blog – will return with their third album, Daysdream, in May via the band’s very own Carl Mann’s record label, Jangleshop Records.
Ahead of its release, they have shared single “I Run” a lush and charming slice of jangle pop with a confidence and lovely nature that is as catchy as it is sunny in spirit and disposition. It feels like its plucked right out of the 90s, but also hints at some 80s sensibilities and melancholy as well.
Speaking on the song, Mann adds:
“The lyrics are about the happiness and confidence that my family has given me. Most of my life I’ve never wanted to be at home, but now there is no other place that I would rather be.”
