Devin Matthew Wilson is a singer-songwriter who splits time between the forests of the Algonquin Highlands and the shores of the Central Pacific coast.
In January he returned with his new album Little Wild Land, which features tracks like the gorgeous single, “Little Wild Land,” a song that “describes the scene of a ceremonial ritual being performed on a loved one.” The track harnesses the energy of a heartfelt soulful folk sound with some emotionally piercing arrangement and soulful vocals that feel like a three-way split between Bon Iver, The Antlers, and Lord Huron.
Detailing “Summer Blood”, Wilson adds:
“Summer Blood,” describes the scene of a ceremonial ritual being performed on a loved one, to imbue them with a perpetual youthful spirit or infuse the essence of summer into their being, transcending the boundaries of all seasons and time.
