BIRDWAR is a band out of Portland, Oregon, making music in the style of “Dinosaur Jr meets Elliott Smith.” They’re preparing for the release of their debut album and have shared its first single, “Tiny Door.”
It indeed does capture the essence of 90s rock with a soft-spoken emotive vocal performance with traces of garage rock but also elements of power pop as well. There’s a heavy feeling of melancholy running through its veins, one we can certainly get behind.
