Beep St. is the Auckland, New Zealand-based project of Buster Darragh-Major, who last month returned with his new EP, Written in C.
One of the standout offerings is “Dreaming of Sith”, a song that he worked on with his girlfriend, who sings a verse. The song is about “the difficulty of moving country and setting youself up with a new group of friends” and “the negative self talk that come with going through tough times.” There is a blend of furious high enegy bedroom rock, post punk, and dream pop all rolled into one glorious package that carries a bit of an 80s new wave quality, and feel totally of its own.
