Quells is the solo project of singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Adam Fitzgerald of Shady Groves, Moon Lake, Ojala, and The Kodaks.
Last month he shared his debut single “Smoke Dance” and he has since shared its follow-up single “Pale Moonlight.” Both released via released via his own Underflow Recordings.
It’s an ode to death unintentionally released directly after the loss of Fitzgerald’s mother to ALS, “Pale Moonlight”. The track features a blend of groovy dream pop, shogaze, and surf rock, with haunted flourishes in its production that taps into a sense of melancholy.
