Sofi Gev is the solo project of Salt Lake City, Utah-based singer-songwriter and indie pop artist Hannah Lovelady who recently returned with her new single, “Together, Never Break.”
The smart crafty artful electronic pop features a dreamy ethereal style of production that provides a fitting template for the hypnotic vocals. There is a dark shadow looming, although the airy vocals provide a glimmer of hope.
Speaking about the song, they add:
Creating is not just about waiting for a visiting muse. You have to reach into a storm within yourself and find a lone ship of meaning, from which to survey the chaos. You will inevitably burn your hand sifting through the mistakes and traumas of your past, your limitations and moral failings. It is painful and terrifying. But the alternative? Chaos and detritus with no beauty, no meaning. This song explores these themes.
