Austin Albright is a Philadelphia-based musician who recently released his new EP, Austin’s Comfort Diner.

“On the Brink” is a standout single from the EP, described as “for when you don’t know where to go and you don’t know what you think.” It hits with a loose ramshackle garage rock charm, blending elements of classic 90s rock with traces of King Khan & BBQ Show, Mac DeMarco and Twin Peaks.

Speaking on the song, he adds:

I began writing “On the Brink” while living with a partner. Our relationship was full of love but I could feel her shifting and her love moving on. She seemed afraid and scare to leave the relationship which left me wondering if we were on the brink or not. The day after she finally left I was inspired to write the choruses and bridge and created a song that echoes how I felt.
