naive nature is a Philadelphia-based band that recently released their debut song, “the weight of the world. It’s a song written “in response to the bitter and spiteful ending of a long-term friendship that always held the potential of being something more.”

It combines elements of lush dreamy shoegaze with a more raw garage rock and post-punk style of production that harnesses a melancholic feeling and energy.

Speaking on the track, the band adds:

“the weight of the world” was written by Jackson Vincent in response to the bitter and spiteful ending of a long-term friendship that always held the potential of being something more. After years of dancing around the idea of romantic involvement, the bond was broken entirely and left nothing in its place except for the lingering feeling of “right person, wrong time.”
