Stockholm’s Holy Ship recently released their debut album, Beyond Frames, via Declared Goods/Go West. The album features elements of expansive psych-rock, such as the opening track, “Comprehend The End.”
It’s a rousing blend of shoegaze-inspired psych rock with an expansive lush nature that pulls from the best of the 90s era of the genre along with modern flourishes of its own to give it a fresh and inspired twist.
Speaking on the track, Holy Ship adds:
As an obligation to unravel the mysteries embedded in the fabric of life itself. Confronting the conclusion that every journey, and every endeavor and every chapter of our lives inevitably reaches. Being enchanted by charm and charisma can make it difficult to discover the deeper layers that shape a person’s true identity. It’s about making conscious choices because our pursuit of happiness is not always a straight path.
