Wabi Sabi is an Atlanta-based ensemble that recently returned with their fourth album, The Love Insane. The jazz-rock band take a new approach with it due to the pandemic, producing it themselves and replacing programmed parts with live real Wabi Sabi musicians.
For a great taste of what came out of these sessions, take a listen to single, “Spacetime!” The track has an epic scope of classic rock inspiration, with flurries of David Bowie-esque vocals and glam rock elements, blended with more modern electronic flourishes. There’s a bombastic yet dreamy nature, that indeed does feel like you’re floating into space.
