Hermosa is a band from Berlin, Germany, who will release their self-titled debut album on Friday.
“My Spacesuit” is a lead single from the record, featuring a hypnotic dream-like indie rock sound, full of psych-leaning arrangements with a dark yet hypnotic edge to it. There’s a super groovy bassline, enchanting guitar work and a vocal performance that feels like you’re submerged deep within a fever dream.
Speaking on the track, the band adds:
This is probably the most far out song on our album – literally. The lyrics are about the smell of space. Yes, space has an odor, and though you can’t experience it directly, spacesuits take it on. Every description in these lyrics come from actual astronauts. Musically this is more experimental and psychedelic than our other tracks which are more Shoegaze.
