Paradise Blossom is the Fresno, California-based project of friends Thanh Nguyen and Steven Salazar. They produced all of their music in their bedroom, such as their recently released single, “drown.” We previously shared “wherever you are” last year.

It’s a raw and punishing blend of shoegaze and dream pop with a fuzziness that is a perfect fit for their garage rock style of production. The track hits on themes about sacrifices we make for love, and at what cost.

As they detail below:

a song about giving up yourself for love, love is supposed to be something that makes you happy, but the more we give ourselves away the more we feel sadness almost like we’re drowning. hence the loudness of the song all the instruments you could hear, but can’t isolate, you feel instead of trying to identify. listen instead of trying to look.
