Caress is the Los Angeles-based project of Tara Jane, inspired by 1980’s dark wave and modern synth pop. She released her new album, Night Call, last November, featuring many songs that certainly live up to this description.
Opening the album is “Temporary Lover”, a gorgeous blend of 80s new wave and synth pop, with a cinematic gothic nature and atmosphere. Her seductive vocals blend perfectly with the instrumentation which feels like they could soundtrack a late-night drive through an abandoned highway.
