Portland Oregan’s Koalra kicked off 2024 with the release of their new album Disasterclass on January 2nd via Gigantic Noise Records.
“The Clouds Still Hang On You” is a single from the album and a great indication of it as a whole. Smartly constructed with heavenly lush vocals and arrangements, with a shimmering quality of melancholy. While there are traces of many of the great dream pop artists, there’s also a more unusual path towards this sound which allows Koalra to stand out on their own.
