Swim Ignorant Fire is the project of Illinois-based musician Stephen Holliger, who returned in November with his new record, Glow, his staggering 25th release under the project, which he describes as “Very melancholic, maybe sad in places, yet imbued with an underlying hope.”
The instrumental work blends the line between ambient and drone, an experimental sound that still feels warm and instantaneous somehow at the very same time. Take no look further than “Fire Struggle Channel” a track that is wonderous in its delivery of many feelings of love, passion, and melancholy.
