Birds are better, the project of Norwegian singer-songwriter Stian Fjelldal, has recently returned with a cover of the Crowded House’s 80s classic, “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”
As all the truly great covers do, it completely flips the script on the original, giving it a fresh interpretation that becomes a gorgeous folk song with the noticeable chorus feeling like the only totally familiar part of the classic. As far as covers go, this is top tier.
Fjelldal also returned in recent months with “Angels Of The Snow”, their own contribution to the Holiday season.
