Singer-songwriter Ajay Mathur keeps his prolific release streak going strong, returning this fall with his new record, Blow My Cover.
He contacted 25 musicians worldwide – some he knew, some he admired, but had never met – and asked them to feel free to interpret one or more of his previously released songs. No particular style, no particular timeline – as pure trust requires. If they liked the idea, he asked them to please send him what they had done. If they didn’t, no strings attached.
“Walking On The Water” is a particular standout high note from the record, which features traces of Americana, country, folk, and bluegrass. This version is a feel-good one with a bit of a free-range open spirit with a beacon of sun-soaked good nature and a timeless quality.
