Millennium Resorts is an electronic duo based out of Austin, Texas, who recently returned with their single “Happiness”, taken from their upcoming new album, In The Key of David, due out on January 26th.
The track delivers a vibrant and colorful blend of electronic pop and rock with traces of bands like M83, Chvrches, and classic 80s new wave offerings. It’s an expansive sonic journey that takes its time truly unfolding and showcases its powers.
Speaking on the track, the band adds:
“We originally wanted to blend the sounds of synthpop, edm, shoegaze, and introduce a recurring motif with the key change that will lead into the final piece of the album. This particular track and the whole album in general has this theme that is inspired by watching countless episodes of VH1 behind the music and E True Hollywood story.”
