Faron Sage is the UK-based genre-bending hip-hop project that recently released their new single “No Alternative”.
The track is a song calling for alternatives to our current capitalist system. The track features traces of hip hop, trap, and post-punk, with influences ranging from The Streets and Sleaford Mods. The production of the smart and crafty beats offers the perfect framework for the socially conscious rhymes which are pointed yet still also playful and hooky.
Speaking on the track, Faron adds:
“No Alternative is built over an infectious, jazz-inspired beat that’s been going round my head for years. It’s a bit of a relief to get it out there, to be honest! Likewise, there are many alternatives to our current capitalist system that I feel really need to be aired more widely so we can all discuss and explore them. Our future depends on it…”
