Nostra is a Latvian-French trio formed in Riga, Latvia. This fall saw the group release their album, Sea of Fertility, surveying elements of post-metal and post-rock, such as the glorious closing anthem “Pristine.”

The track channels a dark atmosphere of post-rock guitars and flourishes, feeling like a blend of Explosions In The Sky with some of the more experimental darker moments of Death Cab for Cutie. It tells a story and does so with a restrained patient approach that takes its time to deliver its swift emotional blow.
