Common Tiger is a producer out of Jacksonville, Florida who recently shared his single “The Cumulus”, taken from his upcoming album, Big Minds.
The instrumental track calls to mind the spacey and dream-like work of artists such as Tycho and Bonobo, with a balance of electronic flourishes and instrumental interplay to tell a story of its own.
Speaking on the track, he adds:
The Cumulus is one of the tracks from my upcoming album ‘Big Minds’. I wrote it during the fall and winter of 2022/2023, and I decided to reintegrate meditation into my music process. Before every writing session, I would set a 20-minute timer and meditate. Some of the songs came to me in moments of inspiration while I was sitting on my meditation mat, with my guitar close by.
