Conflict at Serenity Pools is a band that features members from Venice Beach, California, as well as Los Angeles, with a few collaborators elsewhere.
They recently let go of their new album, Ladders of Misfortune, which explores the idea of “collage and time—specifically experiences with recollection, remembering the past, and the blurry pieced together nature of that.” One of the highlights of the record is the seductive “Reflectors.”
It’s a track that has a 90s rock atmosphere and sullen spirit, while also embracing elements of dream pop and 80s new wave with an emotive and melancholic nature running through it.
