David Baron is a record producer, film composer, musician, arranger, and engineer based out of Woodstock, New York, who recently released his new album, The ARP 2500 via Here & Now Recordings.
The basis of the record is The ARP 2500, a monophonic analog modular synthesizer, the first product of ARP Instruments, Inc., built from 1970 to 1981.
On the record he builds melancholic pieces such as the single and standout, “Distance of Time, which is inspired by the book of the same name, which explores how time works. The track has a gorgeous yet haunted presence about it that would be perfectly suited for a pivotal moment as a film’s score.
