The Rural Alberta Advantage returned with their new album, The Riese & The Fall last week with release via Saddle Creek.
One of the highlights of the album comes from single “Conductors” a track that captures the band’s trademark hearty folk-based sound with a more anthemic and polished punch.
As the band’s singer and guitarist Nils Edenloff explains about the genesis of the song:
“There is so much I love about being in a band. But one of its most fundamental aspects causes me more mental anguish than anything else, and that’s actually writing songs. When I’m able to tune out the doubting voice in my head and get it done, there’s no greater feeling. But often the devil wins and it’s easier to just run away.”
