Anna Kellam is a Savannah/Nashville-based singer-songwriter who has released her latest single “To Be Young”, which is the first song that she ever wrote – with a five-year gap between when it was written and when it was recorded. It comes off her EP, Fetch, which was released on September 29th
“To Be Young” combines a folk rock prowess, with a slight pop infliction and influence that gives it an uplifting and grand tone and atmosphere that simply soars.
Speaking on the song, Kellam adds:
“’To Be Young’ is the first song I wrote, ever. While it’s the most musically upbeat song I’ve released to date, it’s about dissociation and never allowing yourself to be content in a moment. There was a 5 year gap between writing and recording this song, and when coming back to it, I realised I wanted the music to reflect my 18 year old self, and the artists I liked at that time.”
