Disaster Kid is a “nostalgia rock band” from Chicago comprised of three friends who have won us over with their single “Clean.”
On it the band taps into a raw blend of indie rock and a bit of a folk/country twang sound that is reminiscent of some of the work of bands like Pinegrove and Whitney.
It’s a song that the band describes as one that “ruminates over the blessings and burns of intimacy, deciding that the sweetness of showing love often outweighs the bitter.” It comes across as raw and sincere, with a heartfelt emotional sensibility.
