Peli Gene is the moniker of solo Tampa, Flordia-based artist Gabe Parker, who is preparing for the release of his debut album next month, on October 20th.
On songs such as single “Freeze Time”, Parker crafts songs in his bedroom studio that have a groovy and vibrant nature, while also carrying a melancholic tone yet a glossy vintage pop sensibility and charm. Blending elements of the early works of MGMT, Tame Impala and Neon Indian, it is a complete and utter vibe.
Then there’s the previously shared single “Now You Know”, which captures a jubilant sense of wonder with a vibrant jangly pop sound that is a bolt of energy, while still carrying a sense of dreamy nostalgia.
