Barcode Angels are a Brooklyn-based band of old friends who recently released their new album, Angels Forever.

Highlights from the album include the 90s esque “Follow Thru”, a track that carries a dream-like art rock and freak folk quality, reminding us of some of the earlier work of artists like Alex G, Built to Spill, and Modest Mouse. Speaking on the track, the band add:

“We wrote this on New Years day, inspired by the love of starting fresh. One of the more energetic and experimental songs on our newest release

Equally indebted to 90s indie is the shimmering “Great Lakes xoxo” a song originally written as a Valentine’s day present that the band expertly transferred into an atmospheric groove that works to delightful amounts of success.

Both songs are available to stream below and you can check out the album in full and buy it at their Bandcamp.
