Soft Punch is the project of Washington D.C.-based musician Rye Thomas, who is preparing for the release of his album, Above Water, on September 15th via Bad Friend Records.
The record is a culmination of the last several years of Rye’s life after her acquired a mysterious in 2013 that forever changed the course of his life.
“Here / Now” is a colorful and vibrant slice of jittery synth-pop with a life-affirming message and feeling in the air. A hopeful widescreen nature feels like an endless drive down a welcoming highway.
