Slow Leaves is the project of Canadian singer-songwriter Grant Davidson, who has recently released new album, Meantime, via Make My Day Records. “Nothing Reall Changes” is a touching and fragile folk performance that feels like it needs to be sung with a lump in your throat. The track is sung about “isolation that comes with bouts of depression.”
Then there is “Jenny” a more upbeat and jangle indie rock track that is described as a “simple love song about an early crush never acted upon and the lingering questions of what if.” There is a slick yet emotive nature to the track that captures some of the heart and passion of retro-fitted classics from a bygone era.
