Americana singer-songwriter Rocky Roberts and his band The Friends recently returned with their new EP, Pieces of Time, which was released via Wolfe Island Records.

He recently retired from his “day job” of working as a touring guitar tech for names such as Neil Young’s bands, Wilco, Patti Smith, CSN&Y, Paul Simon, Lucinda Williams and My Morning Jacket, he is now back to making his own solo music.

Highlights from the EP include “Buck Moon”, which features Norah Jones and Carl Broemel from My Morning Jacket. The track has all the hallmarks of a classic country / folk song with some keen imagery and a gentle soulful spirit that sounds as if you’re having a dance with a loved one.
