Brighton art-rock Quintet Youth Sector returned last month with their new EP Quarrels via Dance To The Radio.
We previously shared single “Benign Fire in a Small Room” and today our focus is on EP standout “Free Parking.” The track is a “metaphor for fears of getting old and boring which morphs into a surreal tale of trying to find parking spaces in an imaginary toy village.”
It’s a lively punchy slice of indie rock that feels like a throwback to the sort of tunes that would take NME by storm in the mid 2000s. There’s a rousing anthemic crunch to its admittedly catchy brand of indie rock / pop.
Enjoy a listen to “Free Parking” now below and find the EP available to stream / buy at Bandcamp.
