Nashville singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Lydia Luce recently returned with her single “Never Enough”, a track that is about “feeling content with what one has… and the enlightening power of magic mushrooms.”
It deftly blends the lines of gorgeous folk rock with more psych-leaning instrumentation and production flourishes. Gorgeous arrangements and an enchanting vocal performance taps into something distant and nostalgic, but ever-present and everlasting.
Speaking on the track, Luce adds:
“I’m always thinking about tomorrow and of what I want or need that will surely make me happy, and I end up getting in the way of my own happiness. The second verse refers to the feeling of a mushroom trip. When I’m tripping, I’m always reminded that I don’t need anything and nothing really matters. Everything is happening exactly as it’s supposed to.”
