Chicago-based singer-songwriter No Lonesome returned with their new record Flowers Recomposing in late May, featuring tracks such as the opening cut and single, “It’s.”
Opening with horns reminiscent of Neutral Milk Hotel, the folk track operates with a bright-minded sunny disposition and upbeat quality. There are a ton of 90s classic influences here, with warm songwriting and instrumentation that all combines into a fine piece of classic folk and alt-country sensibility – also reminding of some Big Thief – particularly some of Buck Meek’s solo work.
