Girl Time is a brother and sister duo based out of San Francisco that recently caught our hearts with their single, “Safe.” The track is about a time in their life when they felt “overwhelmed by the decisions they need to make in order to break a harmful cycle.”
The track blends elements of folk and electronic pop into something hypnotic and emotionally stirring in a way that feels reminiscent of some of the work of the xx. Hypnotic guitar work and a sensual vocal performance, all brought together in a tidy fashion with some vibrant and assured atmospheric production.

“Safe” came about during a time in my life when so many things were going right, yet there was an underlying darkness that continued to rear its head in various forms.
