Long Beach, CA-based alternative rock trio Cosmic Kitten recently returned with their new album, Laugh of a Lifetime. It features bangers like the lead single and opening track, “Live by the Sea.”
It’s a pummeling no-nonsense slice of raw garage rock and punk that turns back the clock to some early 2000s mainstays like The Von Bondies and The Subways.
Speaking on the track, the band adds:
“This song is about the discomfort of comfort. This song expresses the unnatural feeling of finally having a stable place of your own after a lifetime of instability. The title references that point for us personally, landing in Long Beach, ironically only blocks from the ocean as a reminder of the bigger picture of the world as evident in the sheer mass of the ocean itself.”
