Last month saw Allston, Massachusetts indie outfit Paper Lady return with their new EP, Traveling Exploding Star.
Opening the EP is the 90s-esque “Swan Song”, which taps into a hazy captivating energy full of moody guitar work and an ethereal vocal performance with a dreamy otherworldly nature and quality. Another highlight is the lead single “Starcross” which dives into a more fuzzy and lo-fi charm that packs the punch of early Deerhunter with qualities of bands like Snail Mail and Slow Pulp, diving into shoegaze and garage rock with a cathartic blissful release to its glorious noise.
Enjoy a listen to both tracks below and find the entire EP available to stream at Spotify.
