The ever-prolific UK-based The Hannah Barberas returned in late May with their latest album Fantastic Tales of the Sea.
Filled with smart and ever-addictive tracks such as the opening cut and single “You’re So?!” it strips down indie rock and pop songwriting to its core concepts, high energy instrumentation and power pop vocals and a wide-screen chorus that delivers some really catchy moments.
Then there is fellow single and highlight “Love Them? Tell Them!”, adorned with retro-fitted horns and a 60s old-school pop song sensibility that they quite simply hone in on and make very much into their own.
