half of a rainbow is the art rock project of the German musician Johannes Harder, who first came across our radar earlier this year with his single “charlotte in tokyo.”

He’s preparing for the release of his debut album, half off a rainbow (sic),’, which will be released on June 23rd via Rose Haus Records.

Ahead of it’s release he has released the latest pre-release single, the dreamy and melancholy lo-fi charmer and equally properly titled “morning on the edge of the world.”

It has a widescreen bombastic nature with a sense of melancholy and introspection, combining the cinematic scope of Tame Impala with the intimate raw power and introspection of Car Seat Headrest. Sneakily catchy hooks combined with a sense of looking deep within, yet hopeful towards the future.

Enjoy a listen to “morning on the edge of the world” now below, where we have also included previously shared singles “unintentional love-addict” and “in tomorrow’s arms.”
